Job summary

Precise Systems seeks a Senior Software Engineer for NSWC Dahlgren. The role requires a Bachelor or higher in engineering, computer/software engineering, or computer science and a minimum of 10 years in software design and development for program and system level products.

Candidates should have 3+ years in containerized environments (Docker/Podman) and 5+ years in weapon systems software, real-time control, cyber security, and IV&V.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree from an accredited university in engineering, computer/software engineering or computer science.
• Ten (10) years of experience in software design, development and engineering applied to program and system level development.
• Three (3) years concurrent progressive experience developing applications in a containerized environment (such as Docker and Podman).
• Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in Weapon systems software, databases (Oracle, MS Access, etc.), LINUX and Windows OS, EW systems, combat system integration, IV&V, information assurance/cyber security, modeling/simulations, real-time control architectures.
• Experience coding in C++, C#, Rust, Java, Simulink, Python, GNAT Ada, VxWorks, Tornado, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Protocols TCP/IP, UDP, RTI DDS, PLA; serial communications.
• Object oriented design concepts and Agile methodology.
