Job summary

Apple's ASE Core Services team seeks a Sr. Software Engineer to help build world-class, scalable server features powering Apple Music, App Store, TV+, and other services used by millions.

You will work on large-scale systems with distributed data stores, performance focus, and APIs. The role emphasizes evaluating performance metrics and delivering robust, maintainable code through collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; MS preferred.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of JVM or functional languages like Clojure.
• Strong OO design, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs or other API technologies.
• Experience with NoSQL/document stores (e.g., Solr/Redis/Memcached/Cassandra/Voldemort/MongoDB) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable server-side features powering Apple services such as Music, App Store, and more.
• Work on distributed data stores with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams to deliver reliable APIs and features.
• Participate in debugging, testing, and code reviews to ensure high quality.
