As a member of the Block Storage Data plane team, you will own the software design and development for core components and features on the I/O path of the Block Storage Service. We’re looking for hands‑on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available storage services. As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will own the software design and development for major components of the Block Storage Service Infrastructure. You should be both a rock solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the data plane stack and low level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years experience delivering large scale, highly available distributed systems and backend services.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
