Job summary

Systems Intelligence, an Akima company, is seeking a senior practitioner to mentor and coach Coaches within the Army Software Factory in Austin, embedding within cross‑functional teams to accelerate software transformation for Soldiers.

You will drive practice standards, enable SDUs to adapt to emerging needs, and deliver rapid feedback while leveraging Java, TypeScript/React, and cloud-native stacks in a DevSecOps culture.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• 2 years’ experience coaching and coordinating work done of teams with functions (like software engineers, security, compliance, data scientists, and product designers).
• Fluent in test driven development, lean methodology, and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Executing practice standards.
• Addressing acute needs within the SDU.
• Radiating insights for practice health, check‑ins, and assessments across SDUs and within the Learning Office to whom they are accountable to.
• Leverage tools and processes to enable the SDUs to adapt to emerging needs.
• Supporting novice Soldiers when dedicated pairs are unavailable.
• Providing rapid practice feedback to practitioners.
