Qualifications

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build the product experience for Aerospike Cloud - our multi-cloud, fully managed database service.

You’ll work across the console, APIs, billing and licensing, usage, and telemetry that customers rely on to understand and operate Aerospike Cloud. This is a full-stack role for an engineer who enjoys turning complex infrastructure into simple, polished product experiences.

You’ll work closely with Product, Design, and Cloud engineering teams and have significant ownership over both what we build and how we build it.

What You’ll Do

• Build the Cloud product experience. Develop the console, APIs, and workflows customers use to provision, manage, and understand Aerospike Cloud.
• Work across the stack. Build polished frontend experiences as well as the APIs and services that power them.
• Make complex systems simple. Turn infrastructure concepts like clusters, usage, billing, entitlements, and telemetry into intuitive developer experiences.
• Own meaningful product areas. Take features from design and architecture through implementation, launch, and production operation.
• Build for reliability and scale. Design software that works well across a multi-tenant, multi-cloud environment.
• Raise the engineering bar. Write high-quality, well-tested code, contribute to architecture, and help improve the team's engineering practices.
• Partner closely. Collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to rapidly turn customer and business needs into working software.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production applications.
• Strong experience with modern frontend development, ideally React and TypeScript.
• Experience building APIs and backend services using technologies such as Go, Node.js, Java, or similar.
• Experience building SaaS, developer tools, cloud consoles, or other technically complex products.
• Strong product instincts and an eye for usability—you care about how software feels, not just whether it works.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, APIs, and modern cloud-native environments.
• Strong ownership mindset and comfort operating the software you build in production.

Nice to Have

• Experience with billing, usage metering, licensing, or entitlements.
• Experience building customer-facing metrics, telemetry, or observability experiences.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Go.
• Experience building products for developers or infrastructure teams.
• Familiarity with databases or distributed data systems.

Salary Range : $160,000 – $205,000
(Actual compensation will be based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.)
