Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Consultant in Dallas to design, build, and scale an enterprise search, data integration, and intelligent matching platform. You will develop high-performance REST APIs and low-latency search capabilities on a cloud-native stack using Python, Elasticsearch, Kafka, IDMC, Databricks, and Azure.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend development in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC, including CDI/CAI, data profiling, and pipeline automation.
• Proven experience building, securing, and operating production REST APIs (asynchronous Python, FastAPI).
• Strong hands-on production experience with Elasticsearch, including index lifecycle management, query optimization, and relevance tuning.
• Experience deploying applications on Microsoft Azure using App Services, Storage, Event Hub, Monitor, and Key Vault.
• CI/CD deployment automation using Docker, Git, and Azure Pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Backend development of scalable cloud-native services and high-performance REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Design and manage data integration pipelines and IDMC-based data quality rules.
• Architect and optimize Elasticsearch indexes and search relevance for large datasets.
• Build and maintain event-driven pipelines with Kafka and Azure Event Hub.
• Integrate applications with Databricks and IDMC CDI/CAI in enterprise data platforms.
