Job summary

Fannie Mae is seeking aSenior Software Engineer for Enterprise Platforms to design, develop, test, and deploy moderately complex software and cloud-based systems. You will work with Node.js, Python, .NET, ReactJS, and ExpressJS, leveraging AWS services to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Responsibilities include deploying and supporting applications, collaborating across teams, and implementing secure practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, or .NET).
• Experience with cloud-based services, preferably AWS (Lambda, S3, ECS, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, load balancing).
• Knowledge of SDLC practices and software engineering fundamentals.
• Curiosity and adaptability, including interest in AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer and business requirements and translate into scalable designs.
• Support deployments, logging, monitoring, and production readiness.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy moderately complex software solutions.
• Develop and integrate cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
• Coordinate development, testing, deployment, and production-readiness activities.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and security teams.
• Apply secure development practices (IAM, SSO, least privilege).
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis.
