Job summary

Google is hiring a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Architect to work on next‑generation cloud and distributed ledger technologies. You will design, develop, and maintain large‑scale software running at Google Cloud scale, collaborating across teams on security, privacy, and performance.

The role involves architecture, testing, deployment, and optimization, with exposure to Python, Go, and C++, plus blockchain and zero‑knowledge proofs technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• 3+ years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1+ year of experience in software design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance first‑party Google Cloud products, such as distributed ledger platforms.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software solutions.
• Participate in developing a Python‑based smart agreement programming language, compiler, and tooling.
• Write high‑quality, efficient, and secure production code.
• Review peer code and ensure adherence to best engineering practices.
• Develop privacy‑preserving solutions using cryptographic techniques like zero‑knowledge proofs.
• Debug, triage, and resolve system and product issues.
• Contribute to technical documentation and developer education.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams in a fast‑paced environment.
