Job summary

Waters Corporation seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our Global Software Engineering team in Milford, MA. You will contribute to cloud-native development and enable scientists to access lab results remotely, supporting quality testing and analytics across regulated environments.

You will lead design discussions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor others while advancing modern software practices (CI/CD, TDD, BDD) in a fast-paced agile setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and proven experience as a software developer, with exposure to back end technology stack including C#, .NET.
• Experience with AWS, Microservices, and API development.
• Knowledge and application of software engineering practices (e.g. Unit testing, TDD, CI/CD, SOLID, BDD).
• Proven ability to lead design and development of complex features; work in an Agile delivery team.

Responsibilities

• Lead User Story refinement meetings to ensure stories are understood and decomposed adequately.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, document and implement quality solutions.
• Work independently and as part of a team with deep focus on hard technical problems and explain the why, how, and what that makes your solution technically sound.
• Stay ahead of the curve with respect to new technologies and techniques with an eye towards continual improvement of both the team's skill set and the product goals.
• Act as technical expert and mentor for coding, process and best practices and communicate this to the team.
• Collaborate across teams to improve working practices and skill levels.
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with Quality Policy and procedures.
