Job summary

Canals is hiring a senior backend engineer to own large-scale systems within a remote-first, fast-growing startup. You will design, implement, and scale backend services that power our AI-driven platform for the industrial supply chain.

Join an 80-person team across the Americas, collaborating with product and customer teams. You will balance hands-on coding with guiding the team’s technical direction as we scale with our customers.

Canals is a fully remote, profitable startup transforming the industrial supply chain ($10T industry) with AI. Our platform seamlessly integrates with the systems distributors already use, automating tedious tasks and reducing failure points in moving physical goods across the globe.

We’re an 80-person team (~50 in engineering), located across North and South America.

The Opportunity
Our customer base is expanding fast. Existing customers want to scale, and new customers are onboarding at pace. To keep up, we need senior-level engineers who can move quickly while maintaining high quality , owning complex backend systems while shaping product features that deliver real value.
