Darktrace, a global AI cybersecurity leader, seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Cambridge. You will lead and contribute across a broad range of initiatives, developing the macOS codebase with C++ and Swift while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This hybrid role requires attendance in the Cambridge office 2 days a week. You will mentor colleagues, drive engineering excellence, and contribute to a rapidly growing product portfolio with a modern tech stack.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with modern C++.
• Experience with Swift or willingness to deepen knowledge.
• Familiarity with Unix/macOS development environments.
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build, design, and maintain the macOS codebase using modern C++ and Swift.
• Lead and contribute to projects from rapid prototyping to structured development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews to ensure engineering excellence.
• Write and maintain high-quality tests, docs, and developer enablement materials.
• Advance our cybersecurity defense methodology against unknown attacks.
• Foster innovation and mentorship across multiple programming languages.
