Job summary

GlobalLogic in Dallas is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on C++ in embedded systems. You will design, develop, and optimize software for devices across industries, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role demands strong C/C++, embedded Linux, debugging, and proficiency with IPC/RPC, multithreading, and performance profiling. A BS or MS in CS/EE and knowledge of modern C++ are required or highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of embedded systems experience.
• Expert in C, C++, embedded Linux, and device drivers.
• 6+ years in architecture, design, prototyping, software development, code review and unit testing for embedded devices.
• Proficiency with modern C++, e.g. C++11/14/17.
• Experience with Linux subsystems and BSP.

Responsibilities

• Memory and performance profiling tools experience.
• Excellent with the C++ build process.
• Strong knowledge of multithreading and algorithms.
• Foundational IPC and RPC understanding.
• Proficiency with client-server, peer-to-peer, and publish/subscribe patterns.

• High proficiency with modern C, C++, C++11/C++14, or C++17 preferred.


• Experience and strong knowledge of Linux, BSP, and Linux subsystems

Requirements

• Good to have: Experience with IP-based communications and protocols, for example, HTTP, TLS, REST, WebSockets, JSON, XML, Protobufs,


• Flatbuffers, RTP, RTSP, and HLS. Experience working with diverse engineering teams.


• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
