Job summary

Circle, a global blockchain fintech, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to extend its in‑house systems infrastructure for tokenization. You will build and own scalable microservices and secure APIs for cross‑protocol value transfer, collaborating with Product and Engineering to design, test, and document system principles and quality standards.

You will focus on creating reliable APIs, integrating with banking and fintech platforms, and delivering production‑quality software with strong test

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience in object‑oriented languages, with deep Java expertise preferred; Go is used but secondary.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Led teams (2–4) technically on architecture and system design.
• Experience working with payment systems such as credit cards and bank transfers.
• A broad understanding of RESTful API design and development principles.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc.).
• Experience with SQL databases and schema design.
• Proven experience in design and deployment of production‑quality, scalable software.
• Focus on coding standards, code quality, and strong test coverage for CD.

Responsibilities

• Extend Circle's in‑house blockchain systems infrastructure to support tokenization.
• Build and own scalable microservices providing APIs for transferring value and assets across protocols.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to design, test, and document system procedures and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot issues to restore normal functioning and deliver great payment experiences.
