Job summary

Aptos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the critical infrastructure powering the Aptos blockchain. You will work on APIs, indexers, node infrastructure, SDKs, and developer tools that enable thousands of developers to build on Aptos.

The role offers autonomy in a lean team and requires solving distributed systems problems with robust, scalable backend systems. You will collaborate with protocol, infra, and product engineers in our Palo Alto, CA or New York, NY offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping scalable backend systems.
• Strong experience with Rust, Go, C++, Java or Python.
• Understanding of distributed systems, databases, and API design.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize backend services for Aptos blockchain.
• Develop scalable APIs, indexing services, and data pipelines.
• Maintain infrastructure for node operations, monitoring, and observability.
• Create SDKs, libraries, and developer tools.
• Write clean, tested, production-ready code.
• Collaborate with protocol engineers, infra, and product teams.
