Senior Software Engineer (AWS/TypeScript)

About the role:

As a Sr Software Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and building enterprise-grade microservices and modern web applications that power scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for our client. You will be a valued member of the Software Engineering delivery team and work collaboratively with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, and Architects, and clients.

In this role, you will

• Design and develop enterprise-grade microservices using Java and Spring Boot, and build responsive web applications with TypeScript, AWS, and SQL/PLSQL.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Ensure application scalability, security, performance, and maintainability, writing unit, integration, and automated test cases.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, support DevOps activities, and troubleshoot production issues to provide timely resolutions.

What you must have to be considered

• Hands-on experience developing applications with TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying solutions on AWS.
• Strong experience with SQL/PLSQL for data access and database programming.

• Experience designing and developing microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs across internal and external systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience collaborating in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to code quality and development best practices.

Salary and Other Compensation

• The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $94,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
• This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
