Job summary

Google's XR Vision team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to guide development of Android Glasses applications, focusing on camera imagery processing and high-performance concurrency. The role requires mentoring teammates and delivering scalable software across the full stack.

You will build robust testing, monitoring, and infrastructure, align cross-product teams for milestones, and work on foundational camera features to optimize hardware-software cohesion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in Kotlin or C++.
• 3 years of Android application development and Android camera.
• 3 years of experience with image processing.
• 3 years of experience with concurrency.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with large scale application design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Guide the development and optimization of next-generation Android Glasses applications.
• Develop robust concurrency models and high-performance, privacy-compliant pipelines for image processing.
• Establish robust testing, monitoring, and infrastructure frameworks to guarantee exceptional product quality.
• Drive alignment across cross-product and cross-functional teams to deliver critical user journeys for milestones and launches.
• Build foundational camera features alongside the Glasses Platform team, resolving low-level system challenges.

US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
