Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership mentoring junior engineers while continuing to contribute as a hands-on contributor.
• Experience navigating large, complex codebases in a collaborative team.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with Big data/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction of a small, high-impact team while remaining hands-on in design and code reviews.
• Mentor and elevate junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, reviews, and architectural discussions.
• Lead by writing production-quality C++ and Python for mission-critical systems and establish engineering excellence (CI/CD, testing, large codebases).
• Prototype state-of-the-art software in an agile environment and guide from prototype to deployed systems.
• Develop high-performance software spanning tactical to web applications.
• Utilize modeling and simulation tools to quantify technology benefits.
• Drive sprint planning and customer engagements to ensure successful outcomes for critical needs.
• Own all aspects of the software development lifecycle and communicate complex concepts clearly.
