Job summary

auxmoney is seeking an experienced AI engineer to help turn AI opportunities into production-ready services and developer tooling. You will partner with Product Managers and business stakeholders to deliver AI-enabled features and scalable platforms.

You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, mentor teammates, and uphold high reliability, maintainability, and responsible AI usage while advancing the product.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping AI powered features or building LLM/agent workflows.

Your new team

Want to build AI capabilities that ship to production and actually move the business? You’ll join our AI Team, working at the intersection of product, platform, and applied AI.

In this role, you help turn AI opportunities into reliable services, developer tooling, and AI enabled features. You collaborate closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders, contribute across the full development lifecycle, and support the team by mentoring and raising engineering standards.

What you can expect

• End to end ownership: You drive initiatives from idea to production, proactively identify opportunities and risks, and follow through to measurable impact.
• Production grade services: You design, build, and operate reliable and scalable services and applications that power AI based features and internal capabilities.
• Clean engineering craft: You write clean, testable, and efficient code, and you improve reliability and maintainability through reviews, standards, and pragmatic architecture.
• AI and agentic engineering: You evaluate where AI adds user value, prototype responsibly, and help operationalize agentic workflows such as automation, decision support, and developer productivity.
• Cross functional delivery: You partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to build user focused functionality and iterate based on feedback and outcomes.
• Team enablement: You share knowledge, mentor engineers when needed, and contribute to a high performing team through better tools and processes.
• Work setup: You work remote within Germany, with the option to work from our offices in Düsseldorf or Berlin.

Your profile

• Applied AI experience: You have experience shipping AI powered features or building LLM or agent workflows, including prompt and tooling patterns, evaluation and monitoring, or AI safety best practices.
• Strong software engineering background: You bring several years of professional software development experience with strong skills in an object oriented programming language such as Python, PHP, Java, C#, or similar.
• Backend in production: You have built and maintained backend systems in production environments and you care about operability.
• Cloud native mindset: You are familiar with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, and modern development workflows such as CI CD and infrastructure as code.
• AI systems integration: You have experience integrating backend systems with AI services in production and you understand reliability and risk tradeoffs.
• AI coding tools: You are fluent with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar, and you use them to increase delivery speed without compromising quality.
• Product mindset: You care about why you build something and you aim for user value, not output.
• Ownership mindset: You take responsibility for outcomes, lead topics from idea to production, and keep improving them after launch.
• Collaboration: You communicate clearly, work well in cross functional teams, and you enjoy sharing knowledge.
• Languages: You are fluent in English at C1 or C2 level, and you ideally speak German at B2 level or higher.
• Nice to have: You bring experience with Kafka or event driven systems, Salesforce, and you are an AI enthusiast with side projects you can share.
