Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Apps & Experiences Platform team. You will design, build, and operate scalable backend services and cloud-native infrastructure on Kubernetes, contributing across the full development lifecycle and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Based in the United States, you will help improve system reliability, performance, and developer productivity while shaping AI-assisted tooling and platforms that empower self-service feature

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field; strong collaboration and communication skills.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Apps & Experiences Platform team at Snowflake, where you will design, build, and operate scalable backend services and cloud-native infrastructure on Kubernetes. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive improvements in system reliability, performance, and developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• resolve complex production issues in distributed systems

We look for candidates with 6+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems, strong coding and debugging skills, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, and cloud-native architectures. A background in developer tools, APIs, or platform engineering is a plus. The role requires a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field, along with strong collaboration and communication skills.
