Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in C++ and Java.
• Experience in domains related to information retrieval, search infrastructure, ranking systems, data quality, or signal extraction for content evaluation.
• Experience in front-end web development (TypeScript and JavaScript).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable software systems and infrastructure on top of LLMs, uphold high code quality and reliability.
• Design and iterate on systems/algorithms to retrieve high-value content, define and extract quality signals, build evaluation models.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and research teams across Google (Notebook LM, Play Books, Core Data, Search).
• Adapt in a changing environment and navigate ambiguity in early-stage initiatives.
• Demonstrate AI fluency; discuss knowledge and use of AI tools during hiring.
