Job summary

Nathan Kunes Incorporated (NKI) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SECRET CLEARED) to develop AI-enhanced software for embedded systems in a 100% onsite, 9/80 schedule in San Diego. You will design, develop, and maintain web-based UIs and backend services, collaborating with customers to refine requirements and review designs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS/CE/IS, 6+ years of experience, and proficiency in Python, C# or Rust, HTML/CSS, with a DoD secret clearance being ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, IS, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, C# or Rust, HTML/CSS.
• Experience with Linux systems and virtual machines.
• Experience with web-based UI development.
• Networking software (TLS/HTTPS).
• Exposure to AI-assisted coding.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI-assisted software applications.
