Job summary

Payscale is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the evolution of our SaaS applications. You will work across the stack, building responsive front-end interfaces with React and robust back-end systems using Node.js and TypeScript.

You will own data-driven product applications end-to-end, manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and production readiness while collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
• 5+ years of frontend experience with React.
• Proven track record with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong data model and relational database experience.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and DevOps collaboration.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes).
• Writing clean, testable, maintainable code with good testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Own and build data-driven product applications end-to-end from design through production.
• Manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production readiness.
• Develop and maintain user interfaces using React.
• Build and consume REST APIs with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Architect data models and access patterns for relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Iterate quickly on early-stage features while maintaining quality.
• Leverage AI-assisted development workflows for automation and productivity.
• Identify and address technical debt and scalability bottlenecks.
• Ensure high code quality with unit and integration tests.
• Debug issues across the full stack and production environments.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in Agile processes.
