Axon 911 is hiring full‑stack software engineers to join our mission‑driven team in New York. This hybrid role offers ownership and the chance to influence audio/video processing and AI‑enabled features from concept to scale.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software engineering, a CS degree, and comfort with Ruby on Rails, Golang, TypeScript and React. You’ll shape reliable backend systems and mentor others in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in or eagerness to learn our stack (Ruby on Rails, Golang, Typescript, React).
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Our team is leaning into agentic software development workflows, and we’re looking for engineers who have experimented with—or are enthusiastic about embracing—AI-augmented ways of building software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to architect and launch new user-facing features and products.
• Design and drive initiatives to improve the availability and reliability of our backend systems.
• Continuously help improve the engineering processes and tools that allow us to scale the codebase and team.
• Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers.
• Travel occasionally to support customer deployments and onsite implementations.
