Job summary

Pulley is seeking a senior software engineer to build the product that gets stuff built. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, and end-users to accelerate development and deliver AI-powered features.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, you will own significant product surfaces end-to-end, mentor peers, and raise the bar on quality and velocity while shipping high-impact work.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Track record of owning significant product surface end-to-end: requirements through production, including the unglamorous parts.
• Fluency in modern full-stack development with TypeScript, React, and Google Cloud.
• Real experience building with AI coding agents and LLM-powered features.
• Ability to architect durable systems while making pragmatic tradeoffs.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and willing to work in person 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Own features and systems end-to-end—from talking to users and defining requirements through architecture, implementation, and iteration in production.
• Turn unstructured permitting documents, city regulations, and jurisdiction workflows into fast, reliable product experiences with AI at the core.
• Build with AI agents as a daily practice—directing, reviewing, and shipping agent-driven work at high velocity while maintaining quality.
• Make technical and product decisions that directly impact customers and projects.
• Raise the bar for engineers through design review, mentorship, and setting high standards.
