Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior Quality Engineer to design and execute performance tests across UI, API, and backend layers on Linux/AWS environments. You will develop test plans, automate scenarios with Selenium, Playwright, Pytest, and REST Assured, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in QE and strong networking knowledge. You will work with a team spanning the US and India to improve system reliability, detection of regressions, and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years, or master's degree with 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Solution Testing, or Test Automation.
• Programming experience in Python or Java skills and experience in UI/API automation (Selenium, Playwright, Pytest, REST Assured).
• Experience in enterprise networking (TCP/IP, L2/L3, routing/switching) and integrated solution testing.
• Experience with Linux/Unix, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, Splunk, and CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, script, and execute comprehensive load, stress, endurance, and benchmarking tests across UI, API, and backend layers to ensure system reliability.
• Develop and maintain detailed test plans and automation documentation to enable reproducibility.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate test case generation and optimize performance scripts.
• Diagnose complex performance bottlenecks across Linux servers, networking hardware, and AWS infrastructure.
• Integrate automated test suites into DevOps pipelines to establish continuous performance guardrails and provide actionable insights to development teams.
