GiveCampus is seeking two Senior Software Engineers to build scalable data pipelines that move millions of donor records between schools, CRMs, and partner apps. You will design robust AWS-based ETL flows, integrate with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT, Salesforce-based systems, and a growing API ecosystem, all while shaping how AI agents are used in engineering practice.
You will own major components from day one, ensuring reliable synchronization, handling rate limits, and maintaining data
GiveCampus is the world's leading fundraising platform for non-profit educational institutions. Trusted by millions of donors and 1,300+ colleges, universities, and K-12 schools, our mission is to help advance the quality, the affordability, and the accessibility of education. At our current pace, we will facilitate $100 billion in charitable giving over the next decade-enough money to send more than 1 million students to college, tuition-free.
GiveCampus is backed by leading investors including Y Combinator, but we're also practitioners of : we've made the of America's fastest-growing private companies each of the last five years and we've been profitable nine of the last 10. In 2025, we that included a major liquidity event for GiveCampus employees-the second in less than three years.
Our purpose-driven team of 130+ is located in 30+ states across the US: team members work from anywhere they choose. We have a beautiful 12,000sf office in Washington, DC that is available for people to use whenever they want, and we regularly organize team meet-ups, visit partner institutions, and host retreats in various locations.
While we operate at meaningful scale, we're still small relative to the commercial and social good opportunities in front of us. Every GiveCampus employee plays a meaningful role in shaping what comes next, and we're growing the team in support of our ambitious plans-including a $100 million investment in AI product development. If you believe in the transformative power of education and want to join a fast-growing, mission-driven company, you'll fit right in.
This is a remote-first role based in the U.S. While we embrace flexible, distributed work, we also value in-person connection. Team members are expected to attend multiple company-wide and team-specific onsites throughout the year.
Everything GiveCampus is building runs on school data, and today, getting that data connected is the top reason a school's launch stalls. GC Intelligence, our AI that predicts which donors are likely to give and drafts outreach to them, needs a school's full donor history to work. So do Smart Ask Amounts, which suggest how much to ask each donor for, and GC Gift Officer, the tool fundraisers use to manage their donor relationships.
All of it depends on data flowing between GiveCampus and the school's CRM, where its advancement office (the fundraising and alumni relations team) keeps every donor, gift, and interaction. Only a fraction of our Partner schools send us their complete data. Closing that gap is one of the biggest growth levers in front of the company.
The Advancement Services team owns that flow. It's named for the advancement services staff at each school, the people who manage donor data and the main users of what we build. We connect GiveCampus to the CRMs schools run, mainly Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT and Salesforce-based systems such as Ascend and Affinaquest. We also own the API that schools and software partners use to send and pull data, the guided data importer that lets schools upload files of donor and gift records, and a new queue-driven pipeline on AWS designed to move tens of millions of records.
We're hiring two Senior Software Engineers to build that pipeline and the bidirectional integrations that run on it. A redelivered message can become a duplicate gift in a school's books, and the CRM on the other end may cap you at about 10 requests per second. You'll design for both. You'll also help set how the team builds with AI agents, from the checks and context files that keep agents on track to the guardrails that keep them away from donor data they shouldn't touch.
The team is small and the surface area is large, so you'll own big pieces of it from your first month. The code you ship decides whether a gift made on a giving day (a school's one-day fundraising push) lands in a school's CRM correctly that same day.
You’ll work closely with the Advancement Services Product Manager, Partner Success, Partner Operations, and Data Science, plus the CRM vendors and connector partners whose APIs we build against. The team runs one-week sprints and ships to production multiple times a day.
At IC4, you'll own major components of the pipeline and integrations, with design input from the team. At IC5, you'll own the architecture of a system end to end, guide the team's agentic engineering practices, and mentor others through the work. If you're not sure which fits, apply and we'll figure it out together.
You don't need to know advancement data on day one. In your first 90 days, you'll learn Raiser's Edge NXT, the Blackbaud SKY API, and the Salesforce products we support. You'll also learn the building blocks of school fundraising data:
You’ll get to know our pipeline codebase and our tools (Metabase for reporting, New Relic, and the Rails console). If you come from another backend framework, you'll pick up Rails along the way.
At GiveCampus, we value diversity and we pledge to foster an environment of support, inclusivity, and learning, both on the job and throughout the application process. In this spirit, we encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply.
