Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and improve software powering nuclear medicine imaging systems used in clinical settings worldwide.

You will design, implement, and deliver high-quality software for imaging system consoles, collaborating with global teams to ensure safety, reliability, and performance in a regulated medical device environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years of professional development experience (ideally using C#, .NET, WCF, WPF, etc. on Windows platforms)
• Excellent understanding of software engineering practices, object‑oriented design, and architecture principles
• Good working knowledge of multi‑threaded application development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a cross-functional development team to implement, test, debug, and peer-review code for the console of a nuclear medicine imaging system.
• Write and review technical documentation to support software development and system integration.
• Design, implement, and execute unit and integration software tests to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Interface with internal partners and external partners across global teams in Germany and India, adhering to software quality processes.

As a Senior Software Engineer within our Molecular Imaging (MI) division, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing the software that powers nuclear medicine imaging systems used in clinical environments worldwide. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software for imaging system consoles, working closely with cross-functional and global teams to ensure reliable, safe, and performant solutions that support patient care. You will operate in a regulated medical device environment, where software quality, traceability, and collaboration are critical. This position is well suited for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working across disciplines, and taking ownership of meaningful, real-world products.

You are responsible for:

• Working as part of a cross-functional development team to implement, test, debug, and peer-review code for the console of a nuclear medicine imaging system.
• Writing and reviewing technical documentation to support software development and system integration.
• Designing, implementing, and executing unit and integration software tests to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Interfacing with internal partners (test engineering, systems engineering, product management, etc.) and external partners, including global teams in Germany and India.
• Adhering to established software quality processes and development standards.

The base pay range for this position is:

$109,920 - $151,140

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
