Job summary

Toast is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Toast Tables consumer platform. This remote role enables you to contribute across the stack at a fast-growing restaurant tech company, building scalable services used by thousands of restaurant customers.

You will design and implement cutting-edge solutions, collaborate with Design and Product, and optimize performance and reliability in a modern tech stack. A strong background in OO languages, REST/GraphQL, databases, and React is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in Java, Kotlin, or other OO languages.
• Proficient with modern API standards and technologies (REST, GraphQL).
• Proficient with relational databases and alternative data stores.
• Familiarity with React and front-end development is a strong plus.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.
