Job summary

TEKsystems in Tempe, AZ seeks a contract software engineer to collaborate with business teams and engineers to deliver enterprise services. You will develop with Java Spring Boot and Angular, leverage Kubernetes and Azure, and ensure security and performance across platforms.

This onsite role emphasizes SCRUM workflows and CI/CD practices. You will design specifications, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable solutions while adhering to coding standards and modern DevOps tooling.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Kubernetes and cloud experience, preferably Azure.
• Experience with Java Spring Boot and Angular.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, DataLake, ADX, Databricks and ORM tech.
• Familiar with RESTful services, Spring Framework, Kafka.
• Front-end: Thymeleaf, NodeJS, HTML/CSS, Angular.
• Build/deploy: Gradle, Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, GitHub Actions.
• DevOps tools: Slack, Grafana, Dynatrace and more.
• Linux/Unix shell scripting; disaster recovery and security best practices.
• Experience in Agile SCRUM and CI/CD; addressing security vulnerabilities.

What you'll do

Collaborates with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop needs according to business requirements

Maintains and enhances existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development

Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identifies and implements solutions

Creates detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates

Researches and implements new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance

Supports the development of coding standards and adheres to best practices and security guidelines

Works closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs

• Proficiency in object-oriented design techniques and principles

• Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM
• Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and ContinuousDeployment
• Experience in handling security vulnerabilities

Willing to support for after-hours calls per rotation basis

This is a Contract position based out of Tempe, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
