Job summary

Google is hiring software engineers to build next‑generation systems that scale to billions of users. You will work across full‑stack areas including information retrieval, distributed computing, large‑scale system design, networking and data storage.

You will manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions. Individual pay is determined by skills, experience, and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 5 years of object‑oriented programming experience with Java, C++ or Python.
• 3 years testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of software design and architecture experience.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.

Minimum qualifications:

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
