Job summary

Digital Force Technologies (DFT) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Seraphim Software Team in support of the Seraphim Platform. The role suits someone energized by fast-paced environments, building complex systems, and delivering impact in a dynamic product development setting.

You will write high-quality code, maintain and enhance apps, and collaborate to support the software roadmap while contributing to architecture decisions and future planning. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of relatable software engineering experience.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience with multi-language software projects emphasizing interoperability.
• Ability to integrate 3rd party codebases into projects.
• Proficiency in Linux development environments.
• Proficiency in C++, Rust, Go, or Python.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

What We Need:

DFT is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Seraphim Software Team to support the development of the Seraphim Platform. The ideal candidate will be energized by a fast-paced work environment, excited by building complex systems, and motivated by having an immediate impact in a challenging environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Write high-quality code.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications to keep pace with the evolving environment.
• Leverage and contribute to DFT’s common libraries.
• Regularly ship to a production environment.
• Work collaboratively to support the software roadmap.
• Contribute toward critical architecture and design decisions.
• Assist in planning for future applications based on new developments in technology.
• Support and communicate with Product Management and cross functional teams.
• Collaborate and/or lead software development projects that provide new or enhanced functionality for both internal and external customers.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• 8+ years’ relatable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience developing in mid-size, multi-language software projects with a heavy emphasis on interoperability and reusability.
• Comfortable with integrating 3rd party codebases or libraries into existing projects.
• Proficient in developing and navigating in Linux based environments.
• Proficient in at least one of the programming languages: C++, Rust, Go, Python.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Familiar with a variety of programming languages such as C++, Rust, Go, Java, Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technical, Engineering, Mathematics).
• Knowledge of military systems and operational tactics.
• Willingness to travel to test events, demonstrations, and installations.

Salary Range – $150,000-180,000 - The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
