Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and optimize modern full‑stack applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and AWS. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure solutions.

This remote role requires strong CI/CD expertise, code reviews, and an ability to work across time zones. You will contribute to performance improvements, security best practices, and reliable deployments

Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript/TypeScript/AWS)

About the role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer , you will make an impact by designing, developing, and enhancing modern full stack applications that deliver exceptional user experiences and drive business value. You will work closely with product owners, architects, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

This position does not offer visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future, including OPT, CPT, H1B or any other work authorization requiring employer sponsorship.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and enhance full stack applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.

• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and scalable system designs.

Work model (Remote)

This role requires candidates to be based in the United States and available to collaborate across distributed teams and client schedules.

What you need to have to be considered

• Extensive professional experience developing full stack applications using JavaScript and TypeScript .

• Strong understanding of modern software development principles and application architecture.

• Experience developing and maintaining cloud-native applications on AWS .

• Hands-on experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions .

• Strong experience with Git/GitHub and modern version control practices.

• Experience translating business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.

• Knowledge of software security best practices and application performance optimization.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $10,000 , depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
