Job summary

eVisit in Phoenix is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise web applications using React, Redux, and modern front-end tooling. You will lead development efforts, guide internal and external teammates, and own the codebase architecture.

You will mentor engineers, participate in planning, estimate work, and collaborate with vendors to support platform hardware. Knowledge of healthcare IT, API design, security, and performance is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building enterprise web applications with modern front-end stacks.
• Strong proficiency in React, Redux, RTK, and their ecosystems.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Deep understanding of modern web applications design architecture, good API design patterns, performance, and scale.
• Experience with WebSocket, WebRTC, Twilio, video conferencing protocols and systems.
• Driven to own the process and deliver the solution.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support proprietary applications, websites, and services using React.
• Serve as a technical lead contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external members to deliver products and features on-time.
• Maintain ownership of the codebase architecture and quality.
• Develop new software to help modernize Healthcare IT.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing.
• Work with 3rd party vendors and customers to support their hardware on the eVisit platform.
• Evaluate processes, tools, and approaches to potentially incorporate into how we develop products to ensure we are always learning and improving.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
