Job summary

Typeface is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Platform, to own end-to-end feature development across design, development, testing and launch. You will work with product, design, marketing, and data science to build scalable web applications and cloud services that leverage AI capabilities.

You will collaborate across teams, deliver high-quality software, and drive best practices for modern web apps and cloud services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development experience.
• Experience with AI tools or Claude Code.
• Experience developing on major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong databases (relational or NoSQL) and pub/sub systems (Kafka/SNS/EventHub).
• Experience developing bulk ingestion pipelines.
• Experience building data analytics services.
• Experience at a high-growth startup or tech company.

• Own the delivery of key product and technology initiatives across design, specification, development, testing and launch.
• Deliver high-quality software that can be easily read and leveraged by others.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, marketing and other engineers.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Software Engineer, Platform, you will be responsible for building features end-to-end. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, design, marketing, and data science to design and develop features.

Location

This is a hybrid role reporting to our Palo Alto office. We collaborate in-office 3 days a week.

Salary

The range for this role is $188,000-$200,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process.
