ShotTracker, headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to help build real-time sports data and analytics platforms. You’ll design scalable systems, implement APIs, and work with AI-assisted development tools to improve speed and quality.
You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and we’ll leverage AWS, NATS PubSub, and Apache Ignite to deliver reliable, cloud-based solutions powering ShotTracker products.
ShotTracker is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help build the technology powering the next generation of sports data and analytics.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who loves solving complex problems, building reliable and scalable systems, and finding smarter ways to develop great software. You’ll work alongside Engineering, Product, and Data Science to turn ideas and requirements into solutions that directly support our products and customers.
You’ll also work in an environment where AI is becoming an integral part of how we build. We’re looking for an engineer who is already comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and is excited to continue exploring how agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and emerging technologies can make software development faster and better, without sacrificing quality.
v9.2026
AI isn’t an add‑on to this role. It’s increasingly part of how our engineering team works.
You should be comfortable using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or comparable tools throughout the development lifecycle. Experience with agentic or autonomous coding workflows and prompt engineering for development use cases is important.
We’re looking for someone who is curious about what these technologies make possible and thoughtful about when and how to use them. Speed matters, but so do quality, security, maintainability, and good engineering judgment.
You’ll operate with a high degree of technical independence while remaining highly collaborative. You’ll contribute to technical decisions, spot potential problems early, and help strengthen engineering practices across the team.
Most importantly, you’ll bring curiosity. Our technology and our development practices are continuing to evolve, and we want someone who is excited to evolve with them.
At ShotTracker, you’ll have the opportunity to work at the intersection of sports, technology, data, and AI while building products that are used in real‑world environments.
We’re a collaborative team where strong ideas can come from anywhere, people have the opportunity to make a visible impact, and engineers are encouraged to challenge how things have always been done.
This position is based at our Overland Park, Kansas headquarters and follows ShotTracker’s hybrid work environment.
