SteadyIQ is hiring a senior full-stack software engineer for a 100% remote role. You will own front-end and back-end development on a Next.js/Node.js/Python platform, work with product teams, and drive significant product increments.

SteadyIQ is seeking a sharp, 100% remote, highly-motivated senior full-stack software engineer who is excited to play a major role in our product and engineering evolution. We are looking for a product focused, results-oriented engineer who thrives in a collaborative, team-focused culture. You will work closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and your team to help define, implement, and ship significant increments to SteadyIQ’s mission-driven product offering.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• Team Player: You will operate as part of a small team of full stack engineers who rebuild and maintain a full-stack web application (frontend & backend). Participate in technical discussions, reviews, and solution design.
• Proactive Ownership: A deep sense of accountability for your solutions, the product's quality, and its timely delivery. Own the planning and development of features of our Next.js/Node.js/Python platform.
• AI Adoption: Leveraging Claude Code coding assistant wisely to enhance development efficiency while keeping production level quality.
• Observability: Experience implementing or managing observability tools (e.g., logging, monitoring, tracing) to understand system health, debug issues, and ensure high availability.
• Core Stack: Expert-level, hands-on ability with Next.js and TypeScript. You must be able to write production-grade code.
• Full-Stack Context: A strong grasp of the entire system, including the backend data-processing services (TypeScript) and databases (PostgreSQL).
• Proven ability to work independently, proactively own outcomes, and contribute effectively as part of a small, close-knit team.

Skills & Requirements

• Significant software development experience (7+ years minimum)
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Experience with API development and microservice architectures
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases like Supabase, as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• Experience with caching technologies such as Varnish, Memcached, or Redis
• Experience working in the AWS ecosystem
• Experience with managed message broker services like SQS, Kafka and RabbitMQ
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to work well in teams of all sizes with representatives from a diverse set of technical backgrounds.
• Tech Stack: Next.js, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind v4, shadcn/ui
• Tech Stack: Python tRPC, Prisma ORM, PostgreSQL, Supabase
• State and Data: Tanstack Query (React Query), Zustand, React Hook Form
• Runtime and Tooling: Node.js, Vitest (unit/integration), Turborepo + pnpm workspaces
• AI-assisted development: Daily work with Claude Code (our primary) some GitHub Copilot. Comfortable driving an AI assistant and owning what it produces.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins
• Background Jobs: Trigger.dev
• Preferred: Experience with containerization technologies like docker and kubernetes
• Preferred: Experience with indexing and search technologies like elasticsearch, SOLR, etc.
• Background and compliance: Because of the sensitivity of state data and client specific requirements, this position is subject to background check procedures beyond standard employment background check. These may include, but are not limited to, state specific criminal history checks, fingerprinting, and drug testing.

Total Compensation Package

• The base salary range for this position is $155,000 - $180,000.
• This position is eligible for equity.
