Medtronic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Digital Health Home team, focusing on web and mobile applications. You will work across front-end technologies (JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML/CSS) and native frameworks (Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java) to build and maintain iOS/Android apps.

You will collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and back-end developers, write clean code, and ensure performance, security, and quality.

Competenze

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing, upgrading and maintaining application software using Microsoft technologies using C# and ASP.NET.
  • Front-end: JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS.
  • Experience developing and deploying mobile applications on iOS.
  • Proficiency in Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java for mobile platforms.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, RESTful APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

A Day in the Life Senior Software Engineer on Digital Health Home team focusing on web and mobile applications. Digital Health Home is a part of Acute Care & Monitoring, as well as the broader Medtronic organization, that specializes in telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and related platforms. Our organization consists of various teams with special functions that improve patient and customer experience. You will operate in all phases and contribute to all activities of the software development process. You will work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Work with front-end technologies like JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML and CSS Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for iOS platform
  • Work with both native (Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java) and cross-platform (Flutter, React Native, Xamarin, etc.) frameworks
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality products
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize app performance
  • Ensure the security, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience developing, upgrading and maintaining application software using Microsoft technologies using C# and ASP.NET
  • Work with front-end technologies like JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML and CSS
  • Experience developing and deploying mobile applications on iOS
  • Proficiency in native development languages: Swift/Objective-C for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android
  • Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and RESTful APIs
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Haves
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications
  • Knowledge of mobile security best practices
  • Experience with Bluetooth peripheral integration
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for mobile apps
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Knowledge in FDA and ISO design control requirements is a plus

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$124,800.00 - $187,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
