Job summary

Relias, headquartered in North Carolina, seeks aTechnical Leader to guide cloud-native projects and drive performance across systems. You will mentor engineers, set architectural standards, and collaborate with architects, cloud engineers, and managers to shape strategy and timelines.

Ideal candidates have proven project leadership, cloud experience (AWS/Azure) and Azure certifications; location in NC is preferred with a hybrid work setup and regular in-person collaboration at Morrisville HQ.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading projects within a dedicated team context.
• Experience building native cloud applications in AWS/Azure environments.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Azure fundamentals certification preferred.
• Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate certification within 6 months if not current.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, solution validation and architectural guidance on complex projects.
• Collaborate with Team Lead, Manager and stakeholders to define goals and standards.
• Analyze applications for performance improvements and scalability bottlenecks.
• Mentor associates and new team members to foster learning and growth.
• Oversee code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and quality metrics.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for development and ops.

SUMMARY:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance, solution validation, and architectural leadership on complex projects, focusing on innovation and high-quality outcomes.
• Project Execution and Strategy: Collaborate with the Team Lead, Manager, Architects, Cloud Engineers, and other stakeholders to assist in defining project goals, establishing technical standards, and setting timelines, contributing strategically to the project planning and execution phases.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze existing applications for performance improvements, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance system performance and scalability.
• Mentoring and Collaboration: Mentor associates, mid-level developers, and new team members, promoting a learning culture and continuous improvement within the team.
• Code Reviews and Quality Assurance: Oversee code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and promote overall quality of outputs across all development processes by continually reviewing and refining code quality metrics.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation to support development and ensure smooth operations.
  

Qualifications

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

• Proven track record of successful project execution in a team-specific context, demonstrating the ability to lead projects within a specialized team environment.
• Experience building native cloud applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Microsoft AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals Certification (if certification is not current, must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment)
• AI-200 Certification: Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate Certification (if certification is not current, must be obtained within first 6 months of start date)

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:

Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportuniites to work with their managers regularly for professional development opportunities. This role requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office. You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30 days/quarter.
