Uline's Corporate Headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, WI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement cloud-native microservices powering our North American operations. Join a 450+ strong in-house team and drive resilient architectures with Java, Spring Boot, OpenShift, and modern CI/CD tooling, delivering scalable software from idea to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS or related field.
• 10+ years Java development and SQL experience.
• 5+ years Microservices development with Java Spring.
• 2+ years deploying/ managing Java microservices on Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift).

Responsibilities

• Drive the transition to a resilient, always-on microservices architecture on OpenShift.
• Provide technical guidance to a team of Software Engineers, ensuring project support and strong performance.
• Build and secure scalable cloud-native applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Enhance system observability and monitoring with DynaTrace, Grafana and Elastic Stack.
• Streamline deployments with a GitOps powered CI/CD pipeline built on Tekton and Argo CD.

Position Responsibilities

• Drive the transition to a resilient, always-on microservices architecture on RedHat OpenShift.
• Provide technical guidance to a team of Software Engineers, ensuring project support and strong performance.
• Build and secure scalable cloud-native applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Enhance system observability and monitoring across thousands of microservices with tools like DynaTrace, Grafana and Elastic Stack.
• Streamline deployments with a GitOps powered CI/CD pipeline built on Tekton and Argo CD.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field.
• 10+ years of Java development and SQL experience.
• 5+ years of Microservices development with Java Spring framework.
• 2+ years deploying and managing Java microservices on Kubernetes platforms such as RedHat OpenShift.
• Uline does not participate in the H1-B lottery.
