Find Great People | FGP is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build new applications and core platform capabilities in an in-office setting. You will work with product and engineering to deliver features across multiple products while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of software engineering experience, strong OO and Rails skills, and a track record building SaaS platforms with robust APIs and MySQL databases.

Job description

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help design and build new applications and core platform capabilities. This is a hands-on, in-office role focused on shipping high-quality software and helping move the company and our products forward.

You will work closely with product and engineering to deliver features across several products in a fast-moving environment where priorities and needs can evolve quickly. We are looking for someone who brings strong technical judgment, takes ownership of their work, and approaches change and challenges with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptable, and enjoyable to work with, someone who communicates constructively, contributes to a positive team environment, and looks for ways to solve problems and make progress. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will be expected not only to write excellent software, but also to positively influence how the team works together and executes.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain applications across a variety of languages and technologies.

Leverage AI tools and workflows to increase productivity, accelerate development, and improve the quality of your work.

Contribute to new product development from early-stage design through production.

Work across the stack as needed, including backend APIs and frontend integrations.

Design and evolve system architecture to support continued growth and scale.

Write clear, maintainable, well-tested code.

Review code and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve performance, reliability, and production issues.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience.

Strong experience with Object Oriented Programming, Ruby on Rails.

Experience building and maintaining SaaS products.

Solid understanding of relational databases, especially MySQL.

Experience designing APIs and backend systems.

Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare or healthcare administration systems.

Experience working on multiple products or platforms simultaneously.

Familiarity with infrastructure and deployment in Kubernetes environments.
