Job summary

Upbound Group, Inc. in Draper, Utah is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our on-site team. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, designing, coding, testing, and deploying scalable applications.

You'll work with Ruby on Rails and modern JS stacks (TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js), integrate AI tooling, and operate in AWS with PostgreSQL/NoSQL databases. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product, design, and delivery managers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building complex applications and highly available systems.
• Proficient with Ruby on Rails and modern web stacks.
• Experience with AWS cloud platforms and cloud-native design patterns.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases; working knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, troubleshoot, document and support software and interfaces.
• Lead project efforts and ensure code quality through reviews and best practices.
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Product Managers, Designers, Engineers and stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster continuous learning and improvement.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and drive technical decisions.
