What You’ll Do

Design and develop backend services, APIs, integrations, and event-driven solutions that support digital commerce and order-management workflows. Build reliable and maintainable software using appropriate design patterns, testing practices, security controls, and coding standards. Integrate services with platforms such as Shopify, IBM Order Management System, subscription and billing systems, fulfillment services, and other internal or external partners. Participate in technical design reviews and make practical recommendations related to scalability, performance, security, resiliency, and maintainability. Troubleshoot application, integration, and production issues; identify root causes; and implement sustainable corrective actions. Take strong ownership of DevOps practices for assigned services, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment automation, release readiness, rollback strategies, and environment configuration. Build and maintain production operational capabilities, including logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts, health checks, runbooks, and service-level indicators. Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot containerized workloads using Azure and Kubernetes. Participate in on-call or production-support activities as required by the team and continuously improve incident response, reliability, and recovery practices. Collaborate with DevOps and SRE partners on cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, monitoring, security, scalability, and operational improvements. Apply strong AI skills and AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity, code quality, test coverage, documentation, automation, and troubleshooting. Evaluate and responsibly use tools such as GitHub Copilot and AI-driven engineering or observability capabilities. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less-experienced engineers through design discussions, code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing. Participate in hiring activities, including resume reviews, technical questionnaires, and interviews. Communicate technical status, risks, dependencies, and decisions clearly to project and business stakeholders. Contribute to engineering standards, reusable components, documentation, and continuous improvement within the Digital eCommerce organization. Perform other related duties as assigned.
