Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement a data-centric architecture using cloud computing, AI/ML, and cross-domain transfer systems. You will work in a mission-driven environment to develop and maintain advanced software solutions.

You will lead integration and operations of biometric systems, APIs, and ETL processes while collaborating with engineers and operations teams to ensure high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in C# programming and API development.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, ETL processes, and application-level security.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and logging systems.
• Familiarity with biometric systems and SDKs.
• Experience with containerization and DevOps tools.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda).
• Knowledge of GraphQL, Python, Bash, NiFi, and Kafka.
• Security+-level certifications are a plus.
• Linux server management and cross-platform tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration, maintenance, and monitoring of software systems to ensure constant availability of technical resources.
• Design, implement, and enhance complex software systems including processing-intensive analytics, real-time systems, and business management information systems.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, Architects, and Operations teams to develop enterprise AFEM capabilities.
• Participate in test, staging, and production deployments ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain software applications using C#.
• Implement API development, ETL processes, and enterprise search capabilities such as Elasticsearch.
• Utilize DevOps tools like GitLab or Jenkins for CI/CD practices.
• Monitor automated system integration tests and resolve system abnormalities.
• Foster collaboration within the team to deliver high-quality solutions to customers.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Participate in test, staging, and production deployments ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain software applications using C#.
• Implement API development, ETL processes, and enterprise search capabilities such as Elasticsearch.
• Utilize DevOps tools like GitLab or Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Monitor automated system integration tests and resolve system abnormalities.
• Foster collaboration within the team to deliver high-quality solutions to customers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

• Knowledge of GraphQL, Python, Bash, Apache NiFi, and Kafka.
• Active certifications such as Security+ or CE.
• Proficiency with Linux server management and tools optimized for cross-platform environments.
