Amazon is seeking a Sr. Manager, Software Development (SDM) for the Frontier AI Assets (FAI) program in Boston.

You will lead a team of engineers delivering data generation and quality assessment systems for AI post-training assets, owning the technical direction from design to deployment. You will partner with applied scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions, define roadmaps, and drive end-to-end delivery while ensuring

Qualifications

10+ years of engineering experience.
5+ years of engineering management experience.
10+ years planning, designing, delivering consumer software.
Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
Experience managing multiple programs in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Lead technical vision and execution for software systems that support FAI data generation and processing at scale.
Manage and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers, driving technical excellence and career growth.
Drive architectural decisions for scalable, reliable systems that handle large volumes of data.
Own end-to-end delivery of software systems, from design through deployment and operations.
Partner with applied scientists and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Define and maintain technical roadmaps aligned with FAI organizational goals.
Make data-driven decisions to improve system performance, reliability, and developer productivity.
Lead cross-team initiatives and represent your team in engineering and business forums.
Ensure operational excellence across all services owned by your team.
