AWS Transform is building agentic AI systems to help customers modernize applications with automation, reliability, and scale from development to deployment. The role focuses on designing distributed systems and orchestration for autonomous workflows within the AWS environment, collaborating with product, science, and customers.
The successful candidate will mentor teams, advance engineering practices, and maintain customer-centric decisions, while leveraging AWS infrastructure like EC2 and VPC
AWS Transform is responsible for building Agentic AI systems aimed at helping customers modernize applications to achieve cost savings, security, scalability, and resiliency. We build next-generation, agent-driven solutions that modernize enterprise workloads.
This position within the AWS Transform team presents a unique and rare opportunity to build the next generation of intelligent automation for software development, enabling AI agents to autonomously handle complex Agentic Development Lifecycle tasks, from infrastructure provisioning to deployment orchestration to continuous validation. We build the systems that let agents understand developer intent and execute multi-step workflows safely and with minimal human intervention, making the development lifecycle faster, safer, and more efficient.
The successful applicant will help build the foundational infrastructure that powers agentic systems that let autonomous agents provision environments, run builds, validate changes, and execute multi-step workflows safely at scale. As AI agents take on real engineering work, they need somewhere safe to do it: isolated, production-like environments that spin up on demand, enforce least-privilege access, and give agents the tools and signals they need to act confidently — without ever putting customer workloads or production systems at risk. That's what this team builds. You'll work on the execution substrate underneath agentic orchestration: on-demand environment provisioning, secure credential and access boundaries, build and validation pipelines, and the APIs and services that agents call to get real work done.
The team corresponds to highly skilled SDEs who have strong hold on core AWS infra technologies such as EC2, VPC etc and expertise around Agent development for hard problems such as spinning up an entire stack from just code. We internally call ourselves AutoFab team as we are building next generation Autonomous Fabric system.
