Job summary

Amazon Customer Service is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design and build the next generation of self-service tools that scale to serve customers globally. As an Sr SDE you will own complex, ambiguous problems end-to-end: from architecture and design through implementation, deployment, and operational excellence.

You will mentor engineers, influence technical direction across partner teams, and build systems that operate at massive scale with high availability.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software language.
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or engineering team lead.

  • Work with engineers, scientists and product owners to define and deliver complex features.

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to play a key role in designing and building the next generation of self service tools, that will scale to serve our customers globally.

About the team

Customer Service Technologies part of Amazon Customer Service ( CS) builds the platforms and products that power Amazon's world-class customer service experiences. The CS Aria team builds intelligent resolution systems that help customers self-resolve issues quickly and seamlessly, using a combination of LLM powered as well as workflow based Resolvers.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
