Advertising is undergoing a transformation, and Amazon Demand Side Platform (ADSP) is at the center of it. We are replacing traditional campaign workflows with AI-powered, agentic experiences that help advertisers plan, launch, and optimize Display, Video, and Audio campaigns more effectively. If you want to shape how programmatic advertising works for brands that collectively manage billions of dollars in annual ad spend, this is the role for you.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer on our engineering team, you will own the design and delivery of products that simplify complex advertiser workflows and unlock new capabilities across the full ad stack. You will partner closely with Sales, Go-to-Market, and cross-functional product and engineering teams to turn ambitious ideas into production systems — rapidly prototyping, iterating, and shipping to keep Amazon competitive in the worldwide advertising market.
You might start your morning reviewing a prototype you shipped the previous day, incorporating feedback from a Go-to-Market partner who tested a new AI-driven campaign workflow. By midday you are deep in a design review with fellow engineers, debating the right integration points across the ad stack. After lunch you pair with a teammate on a tricky service boundary, then wrap up by pushing code and updating your team's operational runbooks. You balance hands-on coding with cross-team collaboration, keeping a clear line of sight from advertiser pain points to the software you ship.
Our team within Amazon Advertising builds the ADSP products that tens of thousands of advertisers rely on to reach customers across Amazon properties and third-party websites and apps. The team includes full-stack and backend engineers, applied scientists, product managers, and UX designers working together on campaign management, audience targeting, and reporting systems. We are investing in AI-driven experiences that move advertisers from manual, rules-based workflows to intelligent, agentic solutions. If you are excited about building large-scale advertising systems and applying AI to real advertiser problems, we would love to hear from you.
