Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join Ads AI Core Infra in Seattle, WA. You will design, build, and scale services across data lake core components, collaborating with product managers and engineers to deliver resilient systems for advertising workloads.

You will mentor engineers, define technical direction, and drive architecture decisions for large-scale projects while maintaining quality, testability, and operability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 6+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 6+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Engage with key stakeholders to understand customer and business requirements and brainstorm solutions.
• Apply technical expertise to solve complex software problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategize, design and launch services for medium-to-large scale projects across core components to deliver a seamless customer experience.

This role will see you collaborate with a large number of teams across WW Advertising to drive key initiatives to improve resilience of advertising systems.

Key job responsibilities

• Engage with key stakeholders such as Product, Program Managers, Senior Managers to understand customer, business requirements and brainstorm on solutions. Drive tech strategy and decision making.

• Participate in operational responsibilities with your team and ensure clear and accurate business metrics and operational metrics.
