Job summary

Geotab seeks a Senior Software Developer to join a team building a web-based telematics platform that processes data from millions of vehicles worldwide. You will write high-performance C# code to store and analyze data in real time and contribute to scalable system design.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to API/SDK development, and collaborate across teams to deliver robust software in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment at Geotab.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience as a Software Developer building scalable applications.
• Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in OO languages (C#, Java, Python); experience with Python, Google Compute Engine, and Google BigQuery.
• Experience with SQL Server, Postgres; database optimization (MySQL).
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes; Git experience.

Responsibilities

• Write scalable, high-quality, and secure software in C#, JavaScript, SQL.
• Contribute to design discussions and document requirements and technical designs.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and share knowledge across teams.
• Triage and troubleshoot issues; analyze call stacks and performance data.
• Participate in prototype development and Proofs of Concept.
• Assist support and resellers with technical guidance when needed.
