This role involves developing best practices for data movement and transformation, contributing to engineering solutions, and collaborating across business and technology teams to deliver impactful results.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with product owners, peers, and end-users to gather business requirements and identify risks or issues.
• Serve as a liaison between business units, Finance, and Technology to optimize engineering solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on the business implications of application development projects.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python and SQL, particularly within the Spark framework.
• Work on data management and transformation projects, including querying databases and migrating legacy platforms to modern data streaming solutions.
• Research and implement cutting-edge technologies to support project goals.
• Contribute to test automation and ensure quality in data engineering processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6–8+ years of experience in software development and data engineering.
• Strong expertise in Python development and design.
• Experience with big data technologies and frameworks, especially Spark.
• Proficiency in SQL and data querying techniques.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Glue, EMR/EC2, DynamoDB, and Lambda.
• Familiarity with test automation practices.
